Gathering personal information

We acquire personal information required for the conduct of business in conjunction with providing our products and services to our customers. When acquiring personal information from our customers, either directly from written documents or input on electromagnetic records, we will publicly announce, clearly express, or inform them of the reasons for their use (objectives, extent of use, et al.) in advance or immediately after the acquisition.

The disclosure or provision of personal information

In principle, we will not disclose, leak, or provide the personal information of our customers to a third party. This will not apply, however, in any of the following circumstances.

1. When the consent of the individual has been obtained.
2. When it is required to protect a person's life, physical person, or assets, and the consent of the individual will be difficult to obtain.
3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a government organization, local public agency, or person who has been delegated with authority by them in the performance of duties as provided for by law; and obtaining the consent of the individual could impair the performance of those duties.
4. When the disclosure or provision of that information is authorized by other laws.
5. When the person who has provided the personal information himself clearly expresses a request for the disclosure or provision of that information to a third party.
6. When our business operations are conveyed either in whole or in part to a third party.
7. When it is information that does not admit the identification of a specific person.
8. When we rationally conclude that it is required for the provision of services to our customers.

Handling personal information

1. We will handle the personal information within the parameters required to achieve the objectives of use that we have clearly expressed, provided notification for, or publicly announced, or for which we have received consent.
2. We will use the personal information received from name cards or other means through our ordinary business activities, gathered from the Internet, Public Gazette, or employee records, or received from questionnaires, inquiries, requests for documents, or application for seminars for any required communications from us. Please be advised that we may also use it to provide information for products and services, and to conduct surveys.
